AEREA at The Shoe Factory makes a wonderful backdrop for any event type due to its unique style, size, compatibility, and parking onsite for upwards of 250 vehicles. Built in the early 1900’s as the Sydney Souter Silk Company, the core of The Shoe Factory is that original building. In the 1950’s it became Milton Shoe Manufacturing and around 1990 it was home to Kuhn’s Brothers Log Homes. We are happy to retain as much of the original look of these time periods.

Partial Day Package Events

Our smallest wedding option is for a maximum of 32 guests in our Gold Mirror Lounge for 3 hours.

The Tiny Wedding can only be scheduled on available dates that are up to 60 days into the future.

The Small wedding can only be scheduled on available dates that are up to 60 days into the future

Saturday Half Day Packages - $2000-$3000

Get most of the amenities of our full day Standard Reception or Pampered Packages but in our half day option. A maximum of 100 guests in either of our Rustic-Elegance or Industrial-Chic venues for a maximum of 5 hours. The Half Day package can be scheduled on available dates more than 60 days into the future. 50% deposit required at the time of booking.

No other times or hours can be selected. Additional hours can be added if available 2 weeks from the event date at $150 per hour. Includes thirteen 60” round tables with 8 guests per table. Our half-day packages do not include any time on the day before for setup. The half day package five hours includes your time to enter the venue, set up your event, have the event, tear down and exit the building.

Tables will be set up in the venue while the chairs are set for the ceremony. Guests will move their chairs to their table when the ceremony is over. The ceremony and reception selection includes use of the bridal suite and of our industrial themed bar if choosing our Rustic-Elegance venue. Our Industrial-Chic venue currently does not have a dedicated bridal suite. However, our Gold Mirror Lounge could be used as a bridal suite. These rates also apply to any other day of the week.

Saturday Full Package Events

Events can be held on holidays such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve(latest end time is midnight), New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, or July 4th for an additional $2000.

This package includes:

A Saturday event date.

One venue for a reception only for 10 consecutive hours of your choice between the hours of 8am and 10pm. Additional hours $150 per hour. Midnight is the absolute latest for the building to be vacated at an additional rate.

Our black cushioned chiavari chairs

60” round tables for guests with 8 guests per table for up to 150 total attending. Lesser guests per table available at $10 per table.

Up to 100 LED flicker candles. Additional candles at $1.00 each

Mirror easel with customized simple phrase. Seating chart option for up to 160 guests max – $100 extra

Laser GOBO projection of bride and groom’s names(or others) from your choice of standard static templates

For those events that require multiple days to prepare and decorate in house, select this option to get our Deluxe Package that also includes 8 consecutive hours of your choice, between the hours of 8am and 10PM, per day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before your event. Friday for 4 consecutive hours of your choice between 8AM and 10PM, 10 consecutive hours of your choice on Saturday between 8AM and 10PM, and the luxury of leaving the cleanup behind after the party and coming back on Sunday morning between 8AM and Noon to do that cleanup. Subject to Availability.

How can I Save?

Take advantage of significant savings by choosing a different day of the week to hold your wedding or event. This is an excellent alternative for those who want an exquisite venue but might have more of a limited venue budget. We do schedule full package events on Monday through Thursday.

Clarification: A Standard Reception Package during these days of the week are any one day to be held on a Monday through Thursday and includes all amenities in our Standard Reception Package for a Saturday.

The Pampered Package includes the day before so, a Monday Pampered Package doesn’t apply exactly. If you choose the Pampered Package on a Monday it is with the understanding that there is no day before for setup or rehearsal. Otherwise all other Pampered Package items apply. The Pampered Package can be selected for the following; Monday only, Monday to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Thursday. No other discounts apply to Monday through Thursday events that are 60 or more days into the future.

The Deluxe Package on a Monday through Thursday is exactly the same as the Pampered Package conditions except the second venue and the second venue bar are added. No other discounts apply.

Friday Full Package Events

Because most events will be held on a Saturday, the following rates apply to all packages held on a Friday since Saturday weddings and events typically include Friday as a part of the Saturday event.

The Standard Reception package can be held on a Friday. Save $500 off the Saturday rate for a rate of $3400. No other discounts apply.
The Pampered Package can be held on a Friday with Thursday considered as the day before. Save $1000 off the Saturday rate for a rate of $4750. No other discounts apply.
The Deluxe Package can be held on a Friday with Thursday considered as the day before. Save $1500 off the Saturday rate for a rate of $6000. No other discounts apply.

Sunday Full Package Events

Because most events will be held on a Saturday, the following rates apply to all packages held on a Sunday.

The Standard Reception package can be held on a Sunday at the discounted rate of $2900. No other discounts apply.
The Pampered Package can be held on a Sunday with the understanding that there is no day before at the discounted rate of $4250. No other discounts apply.

The Deluxe Package can be held on a Sunday with the understanding that there is no day before at the discounted rate of $5500. No other discounts apply.

Planning a smaller event?

More intimate events for 50 or fewer guests

Our Rustic-Elegance and Industrial-Chic venues can also quite nicely be the backdrop for your smaller events such as rehearsal dinners, birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, cocktail parties, graduations, college formals, corporate events, retirement parties, anniversary celebrations, class or family reunions, banquets, business meetings, athletic banquets, Christmas parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, sweet 16 parties and similar events.

These types of events can be scheduled on Monday through Thursday and even on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays provided they are held within 60 days and if the date is available. Smaller events of 50 or fewer can be scheduled beyond 60 days out but our regular wedding package rates would apply. Smaller events of 50 or fewer guests have a 4 hour time window for setting up, having the event, and tear down. A typical 4 hour event would include 1 hour for setting up by the host, caterer, and vendor access, then a 2.5 hour window for your guests to arrive and have the event and then 1/2 hour at the end when all guests have already vacated so the cleanup process can begin and your hired vendors can breakdown and remove their event items. If you find the 4 hour window isn’t quite long enough for your event, simply plan the additional time into your event at an additional $150 per hour. Included is our black chiavari chairs and tables from our stock for up to 50 guests. All other amenities as shown in our wedding packages are considered optional additions and can be added at additional rates upon request. Additional guests are $5 per guest and $10 per table(8 guests per table)

The rate for either Industrial-Chic or Rustic Elegance venue for events for less than 50 guests is $750 plus any additions. These venues are large at an overall size of 16,000 and 9,000 square feet respectively.

The Gold Mirror Lounge - Small events for 32 or fewer guests

Our newest venue is available for those micro events of 32 or fewer guests. An 800 square foot industrial themed space with crystal chandeliers, hardwood floors and 4 massive glass windows is an awesome opportunity to hold those much smaller events like a fancy elopement, showers, birthdays, family reunions, holiday parties or a private one-of-a-kind dinner for two. This venue is located on the third floor inside what was the original bookkeeping section of the Sauter Silk Mill. It can be reserved any Monday through Thursday based on availability. It can also be scheduled on any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday with an event date 60 or fewer days into the future. The Gold Mirror Lounge can also be added onto any of our packages for an additional rate. For any Monday through Thursday and any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday that is 60 or fewer days into the future, the rate for this venue is $375 for 3 hours with additional hours at $75 per hour.

In order to accommodate multiple parties per day, specific time slots are available for The Gold Mirror Lounge.

3 hours can be selected from each of these time slots:

8:00 am-12:00pm 1:00pm-5:00pm 6:00pm-10:00pm

Up to one additional hour can be selected at $75 half hour at $40

Two or three time slots can be reserved at $750 and $1125 respectively for 6 or 9 consecutive hours.

Booking The Gold Mirror Lounge is to be accompanied by payment in full at The time of booking.
